The Philadelphia Public Relations Association is hosting a panel discussion on “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Public Relations and Beyond” on June 30, 2020 from 12-1 p.m. ET.
This free Zoom webinar will feature Blu Lotus Founder Sabrina Ram, La Salle University Communications Professor Queen Muse and Temple University Diversity Advisor David W. Brown.
The purpose of this event is to serve as a productive and positive space for open dialogue about the pervasive issues of race throughout the public relations profession and our shared responsibility to ensure our organizations serve as allies to uplift communities of color. Please bring your most pressing questions and topics for discussion so that we may all listen and learn together in an effort to take steps forward toward positive change.

1) Hold your vendors, agencies and consultants accountable for hiring diverse staff.
2) If you’re in the position to hire staff, look for diverse candidates.
3) If you’re an employee, advocate for more diverse staff in your organization.
4) If you’re a PR or Marketing agency offering diversity communications, make sure your team has diverse staff members.
